Epidemiological comments
An infected farm of 500 broilers and a backyard were identified in the municipality of Tepanco de L?pez, Puebla. In the State of Veracruz, an infected farm of 10.000 heavy breeders was notified in the municipality of Nogales, and a positive backyard was detected in the municipality of Jalacingo within the framework of the active surveillance; it has now been depopulated. A positive farm of 161.000 layers was identified, in the municipality of Acatic, Jalisco. The owner of a broilers business notified abnormal mortality among his birds, in Putla Villa de Guerrero, Oaxaca. The animals? production unit was immediately put under quarantine and has now been depopulated. Epidemiological investigation and epidemiological sampling are on-going in the perifocal area, and depopulation of the infected production units is on-going within those States.
