    Epidemiological comments After 27/03/2015, fallowing of the affected production unit in the state of Oaxaca was carried out for 21 days and subsequently sentinel birds were introduced, these same birds were tested on 23 April and 4 May 2015, results were negative. Sentinel birds were destroyed and finally the quarantine on the production unit was lifted on 12 May 12 2015.Regarding the outbreak of the state of Puebla (backyard), all the birds and the risk materials (eggs, food, poultry litter and packaging) were destroyed on 27/03/2015 by burial. Cleaning and disinfection of the premises and fallowing for 21 days were performed. The quarantine on the production unit was lifted on 22 September 2015.In the framework of active surveillance at national level, highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) subtype H7N3 was identified with viral isolation in a production unit of layers located in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco. The birds showed no clinical signs suggestive of avian influenza, possibly as they were part of a vaccination programme. Therefore to confirm the diagnosis, the intravenous pathogenicity index test (IVPI) was performed and a title of 2.85 was confirmed. .The farm has been put under quarantine, the epidemiological investigation started as well as the diagnosis of situation in the perifocal area. So far, five additional positive viral isolates have identified in farms located in the municipality of Encarnacion de Diaz, however they belong to the same company of the index outbreak. Confirmation of these diagnoses by the official laboratory of SENASICA is awaited. Following a notification from a producer, highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) subtype H7N3 was identified by positive virus isolation as well as the intravenous pathogenicity index (IVPI) test with a title of 2.92 in an agricultural production unit located in the municipality of Tochpec, Puebla. The farm has been put under quarantine and the corresponding epidemiological investigation has begun.More information about these health events will be provided to this organization as advances obtained in the investigation
