  • Two Saudi brothers die of H1N1 flu

    Riyadh: Two Saudi brothers have died in the governorate of Al-Darb after contracting the swine flu (H1N1) virus.
    They were admitted to Beesh and Prince Mohammed bin Nasser hospital where they died after developing the H1N1 symptoms, reported Al Qabas.
    The Ministry of Health had announced that the H1N1 becomes active in winter and turns into seasonal flu in different parts of Saudi Arabia.
    Meanwhile, the health authorities have so far completed the vaccination of around three million people as a preventive measure.
    The campaign which aims at vaccinating 3.5 million people as a first step focuses mainly on H1N1 virus prone categories, including pregnant women, children and elderly people as well as patients suffering from chronic diseases.
