Confirmed swine flu cases rise to 61 in Kyrgyzstan

Number of A/H1N1 patients has risen to 61 in Kyrgyzstan, Zuridin Nurmatov, chief of the sanitary and epidemiological control department under the Kyrgyz Health Care Ministry told the news agency 24.kg.
At least 25 of the infected have arrived from other countries (mainly from Russia), while the rest 36 cases have been identified among the local population. ?The majority of cases have been revealed in Bishkek,? Nurmatov said.
Schools quarantined

At least 442 public schools in the regions of Kyrgyzstan have been quarantined over the flu virus, the Kyrgyz Education Ministry reported.
Following the minister?s order 442 schools and 3 pre-school educational centers were put in cold and virus diseases quarantine in order all preventive measures could be taken.
In the city of Osh 56 schools remain in quarantine till December 3, 2009. In Chui oblast 55 schools are closed, in Jalalabad ? 68, in Talas ? 101, in Naryn ? 67, in Issyk-Kul ? 92. No schools were quarantined in Osh.
Meantime, in Bishkek all schools have resumed studies today.
