    KUWAIT: A number of positive swine flu cases were reported by a Health Ministry official here yesterday. These cases are receiving treatment ?according to preventative and precautionary programmes,? Assistant Undersecretary for General Healthcare Qais Al-Dowairi told reporters on the fringes of a workshop for non-communicable disease surveyors. Swine flu infection is usually simple, but can sometimes get complicated due to the existence of a concomitant, or secondary, illness, he suggested.

    Fear of swine flu returns in Kuwait


    KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: The fear of swine flu has returned in Kuwait after the concerned authorities at the Ministry of Health affirmed that six victims of swine flu infection are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting an informed source.

    He said many people have been expressing their doubts about the level of preparation of the concerned officials to curb the spread of the disease, adding that he wondered why none of the officials organized a press conference to discuss the latest development concerning the disease.
