    40 000 cases of ARI reported from October 1, 2011 in Kazakhstan, said chief medical officer of the republic Zhandarbek Bekshin.


    "During the period from 1 October this year recorded 40 000 cases of ARI, of which over the past week 22 thousand cases," - said at a press Bekshin - conference on Tuesday in Astana.


    According to him, higher than the national index recorded incidence in Kostanai, West-Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan oblasts,
    Almaty and Astana.

    "According to the forecast of the World Health Organization this year epidemiological season expected circulation of seasonal influenza A (H3N2) and A (H1N1).
    Along with the influenza A virus will circulate and influenza B, influenza and respiratory viruses, "- said Bekshin.
