The Ministry of Agriculture, the Regional Center for Animal Health Middle East of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) project on maximum alert to face bird flu in Syria.
Said Dr. George Khoury, Director of the Regional Center for Animal Health Middle East (FAO), based in Beirut, said the project to raise its readiness to combat bird flu carried out in Syria along with nine other countries in the region at the level of attention he (FAO) to face the disease and limited and preventing it from spreading across continents and readiness To provide all of what can eradicate this disease which affects poultry according to various mechanisms.
The Khoury, who was chosen for the job functions of the Center recently, including studies for projects of technical assistance and liaison with States and donor organizations to secure funds for the implementation of these projects and provide consulting and technical experts and the Department of Animal Health in the region and provide opportunities for the training of these departments and raise operational efficiency.
