  • Saudi Arabia - MEWA - 2 new H5N8 outbreaks, Riyadh province - January 24, 2018

    The ministry's daily summary of cases of H5N8 bird flu detected two cases in the Kingdom during the past 24 hours in Riyadh.

    The ministry showed that the number of samples collected since the beginning of the spread amounted to (3792) samples collected from all regions of the Kingdom came the results of positive cases, including (112) .

    The ministry also pointed out that the number of communications during the last 24 hours reached (17), while the number of inquiries (56) inquires, while awareness campaigns and surveys continue in all regions of the Kingdom in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs

      H5N8 avian flu case recorded in Riyadh region

      RIYADH: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture on Sunday confirmed the detection of one case of H5N8 avian flu in Al-Kharj.

      The ministry has been actively taking measures to control the spread of the disease.
