    (MENAFN- Nam News Network) JERUSALEM, Jan 8 (NNN-MA'AN) – The Israeli Ministry of Agriculture, yesterday, reported an outbreak of bird flu in a coop housing 29,300 chickens, in the village of Hibat Tzion in central Israel.

    To curb the spread of the disease, all chicken coops within a 10-km radius of the affected area were placed under quarantine and are being closely monitored.

    The ministry advised bird breeders to keep their flocks indoors, and recommended that the public buy eggs from regulated sources with proper packaging, and ensure poultry and eggs are thoroughly cooked.​..

      Israel's Ministry of Agriculture and Food Safety reported that H5N1 avian influenza has been diagnosed in a fattening turkey coop in Kibbutz Tzora in the Judea region. Following an unusual mortality in three pre-market turkey coops, at 9.4 weeks of age, samples sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Safety laboratories confirmed the suspicion. This is the 13th case of avian influenza diagnosed in commercial poultry farms this flu season...

          H5N1 bird flu was diagnosed in a flock of turkeys in Nahalal in the Jezreel Valley. Following an unusual mortality of approximately 24,000 turkeys, before marketing at the age of 16 weeks, in five poultry houses, samples were sent to the laboratories of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, which confirmed the suspicion.

          Tel Aviv [Israel], January 15 (ANI/TPS): H5N1 bird flu was diagnosed in a flock of turkeys in Nahalal in the Jezreel Valley. Following an unusual mortality of approximately 24,000 turkeys, before marketing at the age of 16 weeks, in five poultry houses, samples were sent to the laboratories of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, which confirmed the suspicion.

          This is the 14th case of bird flu diagnosed in the current flu season in commercial poultry houses.

          As a reminder, another case was discovered in Nahalal last week, as well as in September 2024.​..
