Hospitals in Nineveh Governorate, today, Sunday, suspected the presence of bird flu patients for a number of patients. A health official told Shafaq News that the governorate's hospitals have so far suspected five cases of bird flu.
He added that the condition of one of the patients is serious.
The disease (bird flu) can be transmitted to humans, and may cause deaths, and Iraq recorded in previous years several cases of the disease. Infected birds cannot be treated, and medical personnel simply burn and bury them at specific depths under the ground.
The spread of the disease usually causes great economic losses to the chicken breeder.
