Isolated AGAIN: 8 patients affected by diphtheria bacteria isolated in hospitals Hospital and Hospital Cideres Majalengka, Majalengka.
JawaPos.com CIREBON - Over the past three months, in December 2015 until mid February 2016 as many as 21 residents of Cirebon, West Java (Jabar) virus attacked diphtheria. Director of Hospital Gunung Jati Cirebon drg Heru Purwanto said on Tuesday afternoon (16/2), just one resident of Village Kalijaga, District Harjamukti 16 years old, should be referred to Gunung Jati Hospital. The patient tested positive contracted diphtheria.
"Currently, patients are being isolated in a room that is used for the isolation of avian influenza," said Heru Purwanto told Radar Cirebon (Jawa Pos Group), Wednesday (17/2).
In diphtheria, he said to the other patients despite being allowed to go home and declared cured, but it remains to be monitored by the local health clinic. It is feared that diphtheria virus transmission to other people.
Meanwhile, for those coming from the Village Kalijaga, District Harjamukti, said Heru, the surrounding area has been conducted by the City Health Office handling Cirebon.
