Beware, Bali Health Office Reports There are 4 Cases of Suspect Bird Flu, One Person Has Died

TRIBUN-BALI.COM, DENPASAR - The emergence of a number of cases of bird flu patients in Bali Province continues to be monitored seriously by the Bali Provincial Health Office. Separately confirmed, Head of Bali Provincial Health Office Ketut Suarjaya said, in this September alone, there were recorded 4 cases suspect (bird flu). One patient confirmed positive and died. Then two patients have negative status and have recovered.
While one patient again from the lab results biomol Unud and confirmed to litbangkes also declared negative but still treated in the room Nusa Indah, Sanglah Hospital. "The four patients are two from Nusa Penida, one from Batubulan, Gianyar and one from Denpasar," Suarjaya said to the Bali Tribun Saturday (16/09/2017).
Related to the case, Suarjaya said, it has done Epidemiological observation in the case location. Observations made are direct contact with the surrounding community who experience symptoms of ILI (influenza like illness).
"We also investigate the poultry with the animal husbandry agency, and we will continue to do health promotion with the health centers," he said. "Surveillance of the disease will be done more actively," he said.
To prevent and avoid the bird flu virus (H5N1 virus), the Head of Health Service of Bali Province also appealed to the public to keep a clean environment. "If there are dead poultry then quickly buried, wash hands and do not touch the dead animals directly, besides maintaining personal hygiene and environment," he added. (*)
