    BANGALORE: The H1N1 flu toll is still on the rise. Four persons died due to the contagious flu. With this, the toll in Karnataka has risen to 36.


    A 38-year-old woman died at a government hospital on Tuesday. Three men aged 27, 41 and 31 years died on Wednesday, Sunday and Tuesday respectively. But their samples were confirmed only on Thursday.

    A 27-year-old man died in a private hospital here yesterday. His test reports which arrived today confirmed the death due to the virus, they said.

    A 38-year-old woman and 31-year-old man died of swine flu on September 1 at different hospitals in the city.

    Swine flu also claimed life of a 41-year-old man on August 29, they said.

    19 more people in the city have tested positive for the virus, taking the number of confirmed cases in the state to 536, the officials said.

      I can not find the 41 yo or the 27 yo....so I'll add them as "new".

        Four more die of A(H1N1) in Bangalore

        Bangalore: Four more A(H1N1) deaths were reported in the city on Thursday. While three died in private hospitals, the other, a 38-year-old woman, Kamala, from South Bangalore, died in Victoria Hospital on September 1. This takes the number of deaths due to A(H1N1) in the State to 36.

        Although the latest victims [the three aged 27, 41 and 31, respectively,] died two or three days ago, the test reports of all the four saying that they were positive for A(H1N1) arrived only on Thursday.

        Meanwhile, 19 more tested positive on Thursday taking the number of confirmed cases in the State to 536.

        All the 19 cases are from Bangalore, said a release from the State Health Department.

        The State Government organised a training programme for doctors of private hospitals who are in-charge of critical care.
