Bangalore, May 7 (IANS) Two Indian software professionals who landed here Thursday from the United States with respiratory infection have been quarantined for suspected swine flu or H1N1 influenza.
'The two were found to be suffering from respiratory infection. We do not suspect they are infected with H1N1 influenza but as part of surveillance, they are kept in the institute,' Shashidhar Buggi, director of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in Bangalore, said.

'Blood and other samples have been sent to Pune and the two will remain in the institute till the test results prove negative,' Buggi told IANS.
Since April 28, a team of 20 doctors has been screening international passengers landing at Bangalore International Airport to prevent spread of H1N1 flu. Screening of international passengers has also begun at Managalore airport, about 350 km from here.
Till Thursday around 20,000 passengers have been screened at the two airports, according to an official spokesperson.
