37-year-old man succumbs to swine flu
INDORE: A 37-year-old man succumbed to swine flu at a private hospital here on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the health department, a resident of Nasik district (Maharasthra) who was suffering from cough and cold, came to the city with his in-laws on June 2. The patient had visited Robert Nursing Home on June 7 where he underwent treatment for Pneumonia. However, the patient did not show any signs of improvement and was then referred to CHL Hospital on June 11.
13 suspected swine flu cases were reported in the city since January. Out of which, swab test confirmed one as H1N1 positive and the patient died on Tuesday. Meanwhile, two confirmed cases of dengue were also reported within a fortnight, who were discharged after treatment, health department officials said.
