  • COVID has completely interrupted India's disease reporting system

India has an Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) that gathers rudimentary outbreak data from around the country and publishes a weekly report here: https://idsp.nic.in/index4.php?lang=...d=406&lid=3689. While the reports themselves are published several months after the event and the content is somewhat limited, they can provide data that is not otherwise available. Week 13 in 2019 had 22 outbreaks listed including diseases ranging from Brucellosis through Dengue to Acute Diarrhoea and Measles. Week 14 in 2019 reported 30 diverse outbreaks.
Week 13 in 2020 reported only a COVID-19 update. Week 14 in 2020 reported only 2 outbreaks. It seems that India's disease surveillance system has been retasked to deal with coronavirus only.

Meanwhile at the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme https://nvbdcp.gov.in/ the Dengue and Chikungunya statistics have not been updated since November 2019.
