Comment: It is likely that these case numbers are undercounts. For example to August 12th, Kerala's Directorate of Health Services has reported 1,918 confirmed cases with an additional 5,411 suspected with 8 confirmed and 9 suspected fatalities. To August 7th, Karnataka has reported 23,811 suspected cases.

Mamuni Nag, 42, a resident of Panagarh village in Kansa, was admitted to a private hospital in Bidhannagar in Durgapur with fever, shortness of breath and lung infection. He died on Sunday morning. The family claims that the hospital's blood test report showed 'reactive' results in the Dengi IGM test in his blood.

Debashis Haldar, chief health officer of West Bardhaman, said, "We have known the woman's death. Can't say right now, what is dengue. The matter is being investigated. The cause of death will be clear by Tuesday afternoon. "

Family sources said that Mamani was diagnosed with fever 15 days ago. Two days later, his chest pain began. The next day, he was shown to a local doctor. But the situation has not improved. Feeding is reduced. By 5 pm on August 7, the people of Mamini's father's house came from Khandra of Andal and took him there. His intense breathing began at 9am that night. A doctor is shown at a nursing home in Khandra. Due to the deterioration of the condition, he was admitted to the private hospital in Bidhannagar at night.

Momin's brother-in-law Nabin Babu said, "Doctors at the hospital said there was a major infection in the lungs. Immediately afterwards Mamani was sent to the ICU. "He said he was taken that night to get a blood test. The report of the evening of August 2 revealed that the Dengi IGM test yielded 'reactive' results. At the same time, doctors said the blood sugar was excessive. However, the Dengi IgG and NS3 tests yielded 'non-reactive' results. Nabinababu said, "There has been no improvement since then. The condition has deteriorated gradually. ?Hospital sources said that Mamini died at around 9.30am on Sunday.

According to family sources, Mamini's husband Prabin Nagar has a grocery store. Their seven-year-old daughter, Pavel, is at home. The bereaved family and neighbors mourn the death of the mother. Many of them have also been sober with mosquitoes in the area. They complained that the pond was fun. There is a jungle of weeds all around. Local resident Prakash Das said, "If you do not take action, the danger will increase." However, cleaning work has already started in the area. The drain is being cleaned. Mosquitoes were sprayed with the block health office. "
