19 reported dead in Chongkhow following outbreak of disease

According to reports, 19 lives have been lost in Chongkhow village under Longding between June-August following an outbreak of diseases. It is yet to be confirmed what led to the deaths as the State epidemiologist Dr L Jampa said that his department has not been informed yet on the deaths and health issues of the villagers.
Matpho Kolong, ZPM, Wakka said that dozens of villagers are sick with dysentery, fever, headache, jaundice, typhoid which has subsequently led to the deaths of the villagers.
People of the remote village with a population about 900 are in shock with the continuous death of the villagers, he said.
