      • Surveillance around the outbreak at the epicenter William Nagar (Meghalaya) including culling, cleaning and disinfection was carried out and no evidence of the presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 was reported from any part of the State.
      • In view of the above, the outbreak at William Nagar is considered free from notifiable avian influenza with effect from 23 April 2012.
