At least 1,348 pigs and piglets have died in Mizoram during the last few weeks due to the outbreak of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) and Classical Swine Fever (CSF), an official said.

He said that 2,613 pigs and piglets had so far been infected with the PRRS and swine fever. 81 villages had also been affected by the two diseases.
