              <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Totalling 148 hot spot had the potential to burn the Sumatran forest

              Waspada ONLINE

Medan - the Besar Meteorologi Hall and Geophysics (BBMG) the Territory of I Medan said at this time was gotten totalling 148 hot spot (the focus) that had the potential to burn the forest in the Sumatran Island. "Was based on our observation from observation" of the "satellite, at least was gotten 148 hot spot in Sumatra that had the potential to result in forest fire," said the analyst BBMG Wilayah I Medan, Agus Syafril, in Medan, on Thursday. He explained, from the number totalling 50 foci was diwilayah North Sumatra with kosentrasi was in the area like the border Tapanuli Selatan and Labuhanbatu, the area of the plateau and the Toba region of Lake outskirts.

Seratusan more the springing focus, according to him, was estimated resulting from fire of the agricultural land or the forest that was supported by the condition for the weather in Sumatra that terkajadi namely the dry season. The "insignificance" of the "rainfall, afterwards the position" of the "sun that tended was in the northern hemisphere caused the weather that was not arranged in the homeland like that happened in North Sumatra," he explained. The condition, said he, caused the increase in the temperature of air in general in the Sumatran island to achieve 35.8 levels celcius, in North Sumatra 34 levels celcius, Riau 34.8 levels celcius and West Sumatra 34.5 levels celcius.

.Akibat the temperature of the air the inhabitants that was in the earth felt hot during the day and felt sultry tonight that had the potential to cause the acute illness of the respiratory tract inspection. To minimise the possibility of this bad influence, BBMG the territory of I Medan made a plea so that the community does the compound if wanting to burn the land and to avoid direct contact with the sun, he said.
