Grippe A H1N1 dans la R?gion Africaine de l'OMS : 31 cas suspects ont ?t? noti-fi?s depuis le d?but de l'?pid?mie dans 11 pays (Afrique du Sud, Zambie, Benin, Seychelles, Togo, Kenya, Ouganda, Nigeria, Tanzanie, Ghana et RDC). Au 19 mai 2009, cinq cas suspects dans trois pays sont en cours d'investigation; RDC (2),Tanzanie (2), Nigeria (1).
DAR ES SALAAM - La Tanzanie a enregistr? son premier cas de grippe porcine A(H1N1), chez un ?tudiant britannique de 17 ans, a annonc? mercredi un responsable sanitaire tanzanien.
Le jeune homme faisait partie d'un groupe de 15 ?tudiants et professeurs arriv?s de Grande Bretagne via le Kenya le 2 juillet pour un projet humanitaire, a expliqu? ? l'AFP le directeur des services cliniques du principal h?pital de Dar es Salaam, Andre Swai.
La sant? du patient n'est pas inqui?tante, a-t-il pr?cis?.
L'Afrique de l'Est semble pour le moment peu touch?e par la propagation du virus A(H1N1), aujourd'hui signal?e au Kenya, en Ouganda et en Ethiopie.
Selon l'Organisation mondiale de la sant? (OMS), 94.500 contaminations ont ?t? enregistr?es ? l'?chelle mondiale, faisant 425 morts.
