2009-2010 Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
There were 2,820 specimens from all services and beneficiary groups for which seasonal vaccination data were available (cumulative forthe season, beginning 4 Oct 2009). Of those, 1,112 (39%) were vaccinated with the 2009-2010 seasonal influenza vaccine, greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection. Of those, 531 (48%) received the nasal spray and 581 (52%) received an injection.
Pandemic Influenza A/H1N1 (2009 pH1N1) Vaccine
There were 1,264 specimens from all services and beneficiary groups for which 2009 pH1N1 vaccination data were available (cumulativefor the season, beginning 4 Oct 2009). Of those, 73 (6%) were vaccinated with the 2009 pH1N1 vaccine, greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection. Of those, seven (10%) received the nasal spray and 66 (90%) received an injection.
USAFSAM expects the percentage of those vaccinated greater than 14 days prior to specimen collection to increase as the season progresses.
