One day, we may need some foreign language resources. It may also be that local news in the local languages carry important articles thay may never make it to English media.

The Swahili - Kiswahili Language

Swahili (called Kiswahili in the language itself) is the mother tongue of the Swahili people (Waswahili), who inhabit several large stretches of the Indian Ocean coastline from southern Somalia to northern Mozambique.[2] Although only 5-10 million people speak it as their native language[1], Swahili is a lingua franca of much of East Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a national or official language of four nations, and is the only African language among the official working languages of the African Union. Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo DRC, Somalia, Comoros Islands (including Mayotte), Mozambique.

It may be late on current news (latest today is dated 7 December 2007), however it may be updated more frequently if there were a pandemic (of whatever virus). For example, for the moment, it has only one story dated 14 September 2007 about Ebola in the DR of Congo.
