ISTANBUL — Turkey’s health minister said Wednesday that the country recorded 34 coronavirus-related deaths since the day before, bringing the country's COVID-19 death toll to 4,431.
Fahrettin Koca also tweeted that Turkey confirmed 1,035 new virus cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases in Turkey now stands at 159,797, although more than 121,500 of those involve people since reported as recovered

Total number of COVID-19 cases in Turkey reached 168,340 with 930 new infections.
Turkey on Friday confirmed over 1,600 more recoveries from coronavirus as the country began easing measures against the pandemic, according to the health minister, APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.
The total number of recoveries from the disease reached 133,400 as 1,622 more patients were discharged from hospitals over the past day, Fahrettin Koca said on Twitter, citing Health Ministry data.
A total of 18 new fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 4,648.

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - The number of new coronavirus cases in Turkey rose above 1,000 in the last 24 hours for the first time since May 29, Health Ministry data showed on Friday, after the easing of travel restrictions and reopening of public facilities at the start of last week.
The data showed 1,195 new cases were identified, up from a low of 786 last Tuesday, and 15 people died in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases rose to 175,218. Daily infections stood above 5,000 on April 11.
