The Serbian government has imposed a daily 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew during weekdays and a more stringent weekend ban starting at 1 p.m. on Saturdays till 5 a.m. on Mondays in order to curb the spread of the virus.
The government has also told residents to avoid picnics, leisure activities and all forms of public gatherings in a bid to limit the outbreak.
Serbia has so far registered 1,476 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 39 deaths."The only security we have is our ability to adapt."

Seven more die in Serbia, 51 in total, 284 new COVID-19 cases confirmed
Seven more COVID-19 patients died in Serbia by Sunday 3 pm and 284 new cases have been confirmed, according to epidemiologist Predrag Kon.
The total number of deaths caused by the novel coronavirus in Serbia now stands at 51, while 1,908 COVID-19 patients have been confirmed so far.
Of 959 persons who were tested since the last report, 284 were positive for the coronavirus.
Kon said 1,082 patients have been admitted to hospital and 88 were sent to the Belgrade fair facilities, which was turned into a temporary hospital.

By 15:00 on April 6, 2020, a total of 2.200 confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered in the Republic of Serbia.
In the nursing home "Old Railroad", 15 people were infected and 4 non-infected users were displaced.
When it comes to KBC Dedinje, 357 people were tested and the virus was confirmed in 67 healthcare professionals, as well as in 9 patients, Dr Predrag Kon said.
"This shows that intrusion of the virus into healthcare facilities is very possible", Dr Kon said...

Currrently there are 3.380 positive cases of coronavirus COVID-19 in the Republic of Serbia.
Until 11.04.2020, the National reference laboratory of Torlak Institute tested 16.399 people who fulfilled the criteria for testing (staying in the area of intensive transmission of virus and presence of symptoms of infection of the respiratory tract).
Since the last report on 10.04.2020 at 15:00, 2.159 persons were tested, and 275 of them were positive."The only security we have is our ability to adapt."

Serbia - More than 600 health workers affected by CoV-19 aggravate movement

Serbia has entered its seventh week since the CoVid-19 pandemic broke out in the country.
In the last 24 hours, 372 new cases of CoVid-19 have appeared in Serbia, while the total number has reached 5,690.
There are 3,765 people in hospital treatment, of which 122 receive treatment through respirators.
Of concern to health institutions is the high number of health workers affected by CoVid-19, which is 616 affected.
Seven people have died in the last 24 hours affected by CoVid-19, increasing the number of victims to 110.
