NHS and council chiefs are urging pregnant mums, toddlers, NHS staff, carers and anyone over 65 to get their free vaccinations.

Bosses at St. Helens and Whiston hospitals are concerned by the huge rise in reported flu cases in Australia this year. They say they have been warned by public health officials to brace themselves for more fatal cases across Britain this winter.
