Geneva reports second death from flu
A second patient has died at Geneva?s cantonal hospital after contracting this season?s virulent flu virus.
The patient was an elderly woman who was already suffering from a lung infection.
Jacques-Andr? Romand is the canton?s chief medical officer.
He says this year?s flu is worse than in the last two years?but that year-on-year, almost all deaths from flu are limited to already-vulnerable people, such as the elderly, young children and people with chronic illness.
