The flu A ended in three days the life of the 17-year-old girl from Xabia

PILAR G. THE BURGO | VALENCIA

The results of the microbiological analysis of the samples that were taken to the teenager Manuel G. And, for 17 years, who died in the ICU of the hospital from Denia to just three days of the early symptoms of a respiratory infection (fever, malaise, congestion ... ) Confirmed that the causative agent of the pathology which resulted in the death of this young neighbor of Xabia of fulminant form was the influenza A virus, the dreaded binomial of the two viral proteins H1N1, which four years ago he starred in a crossing of species to jump out of the pork to the human and unleashed the worldwide alarm. The family of the young man, torn apart by his loss, took more than ten days in to go to the health center of Xabia to collect the results of the evidence that might shed some light on the causes of the sudden death of the boy, That at seven in the evening of Tuesday January 21 i attended on their own feet to the consultation of the doctor at the outpatient clinic by a worsening of the symptoms and five hours after dying in the ICU, no one could do nothing to prevent it. The doctors who cared for the young in the health center has already moved forward to Lift-EMV that the cause of his death was the flu, though suspicions of clinicians need to be supported by the results of the National Center for Microbiology. The death certificate recorded that the boy, who began to feel bad after returning from a game of football a rainy saturday, had died of pneumonia, which is one of the serious ways in which you can pursue the flu.

Two new deaths raised to 14, the victims by the Influenza A in Extremadura

Two further deaths from the flu TO raises the number of deaths at 14 in Extremadura, as reported yesterday by the regional government in a note which also said that the rate of incidence has rebounded from 66 to 120 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, What sets this index of new disease above the epidemic threshold (71 cases/100,000 h. ). In the opinion of the deputy director of Epidemiology of the SES, Julian Mauro Ramos, the upturn in the flu was expected and has a range in number of cases similar to that which is usually recorded all the years after overcoming the crest of the wave epidemic. However, according to Ramos, the overall trend is down, and it is expected that in the coming weeks decrease significantly the number of cases detected by the Sentinel System. The weekly report of Epidemiology posted two new deaths, both in the Hospital of San Pedro de Alcantara Caceres; this is a 82-year-old woman who died on February 26 and a 69-year-old man died on February 27. The two had risk factors and none of them had been vaccinated against the flu. With these two are already 14 the deceased with the N1H1 virus in the region since the beginning of the season.
