    81 people have died from the H1n1 virus

    The number of Romanians who have died from the H1n1 virus has reached 81, write to the National Journal. Only in the last week, the seasonal influenza virus has made eight victims. Doctors say that the so-called swine flu became a lot more aggressive than in 2009 and leads to severe respiratory infections.       A man has died and another is in serious condition after they were sickened by swine flu

            Evolution of acute respiratory infections and influenza in 2015-2016 season
            Week 04/11/2016 - 04/17/2016 (S 15/2016)

            Influenza evolves low intensity activity, with outbreaks or cases
            sporadic in some counties;
            The incidence of acute respiratory infections was slightly higher
            low comparable to that recorded in the previous week and was framed in
            expected range.

            Nationwide, the total number of cases of acute respiratory infections
            (Flu clinic, IACRS and pneumonia) was 73 326, 1.5 times higher
            compared to that recorded in the same week of the previous season (48506 -
            low number due to underreporting of the holidays - Easter 2015) and
            5% lower than that recorded in the previous week (76958).
            Week 04/11/2016 - 04/17/2016 were recorded nationwide
            115 cases of influenza / ILI, compared with 60 cases recorded in S 15/2015.
            Week 04/11/2016 - 04/17/2016 were recorded 10 cases of
            Severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) with 11 fewer compared to the week
            Previous and 4 more than the same period the previous season.

            5 deaths were communicated to us at SARI cases confirmed by virus
            influenza, of which 4 with seasonal influenza A (H1) and 1 A (H3). Deaths
            2 newly reported was higher than the previous week.
            The total number of deaths confirmed cases with influenza virus 97
            of which 91 A (H1) Seasonal 5 with AH3 and 1 B.

            - Distribution of deaths by age group: 5 to 0-1 years, 2-4 years 1 to 37 at 15-49,
            50-64 years 38 and 16 ≥65 years.
            - Distribution of deaths by gender: 57 male and 40 female.
            - 83 people died (86%) had pre-existing medical conditions.
            - A history of anti-influenza vaccine: 79 unvaccinated, of which 1 child ineligible,
            1 vaccine and 17 unknown.

            Since the beginning of the season supervisory acute respiratory infections,
            SARI influenza and until the date of 19.04.2016 have been confirmed by lab
            1486 cases of flu: 1267 cases type A, subtype H1 seasonal
            81 cases type A, subtype H3
            A type 46 cases, nesubtipate
            92 cases type B

            17.04.2016 till date have been vaccinated flu 632.415
            people in groups at risk with the vaccine distributed by the Health Ministry.
