    Another case in the Azores, total rises to 9

    In some minutes it was confirmed one more case of influenza A (H1N1) in Portugal, the fourth of secondary transmission, bringing to 48 the total number of infected, announced that the Ministry of Health

    This is a woman of 66 years who is admitted in the Health Center of Santa Cruz da Graciosa, Azores, states a communiqu? from the Ministry of Health, released in the portal of the Directorate General of Health, minutes after a mark has announced five new cases and a total of 47 infected.

    The other five cases now confirmed in a 24-hour period, are of three men at the Hospital Curry Cabral, Lisbon, and a couple of 13 years and a girl of nine years hospitalized in Dona Estef?nia in Lisbon.

    One of the men of 49 years, returned from the UK and another in 43 years, passed through Spain and Italy. A third of 22 years, is a case of secondary transmission.

    The adolescent of 13 years returned from Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and the girl of nine years of the Dominican Republic.

    According to the Ministry of Health, the emergence of cases of secondary transmission "was expected by the public health, given the natural evolution of the epidemic and the increasing number of imported cases."
