    In Portugal the rapid increase in the number of people suffering from serious influence begins to create discomfort in intensive care units of hospitals in the north and center of the country.     Fifteen new cases of flu in intensive care units

    Fifteen new cases of flu were admitted to intensive care units in the first week of February, four more cases than in the previous week, according to the epidemiological surveillance bulletin Gripe.De according to the bulletin released today by the Instituto Nacional de Sa?de Dr. Ricardo Jorge, there is a moderate flu activity, with an incidence rate of 68.8 flu cases per 100,000 inhabitants, less than in the last week of January (80.7 cases).The document says that viruses detected are similar to strains of the flu vaccine this winter and it also says that weren't detected antiviral-resistant influenza virus. 'The 15 laboratories of Portuguese network of laboratories for the diagnosis of influenza reported so far, 515 cases positive for influenza?, according to the bulletin, the predominant virus, although, he adds, ' an increase in the number of viruses detected '. So far, in total, were notified by the laboratory network 1920 flu syndrome cases.Of the 15 new cases in intensive care units (ICU) most had not been vaccinated against the flu.
