    Clinical samples collection activity continues through Influnet laboratories network.

    During current week (52/2010), 84 clinical samples have been collected by network's laboratories.

    Among these, thirty-one (31) were positive for influenza virus.

    Eight were type B, collected from patients respectively in the Teaching hospital of Genoa, Parma, Trieste, and at 'San Matteo' hospital in Pavia.

    Seventeen (17) were type A H1N1 (2009) collected from patients in the Teaching Hospital of Florence, Genoa, Palermo, Parma, Milan and Pavia.

    One (1) type A/H3N2 has been isolated at Genoa.

    Five other Type A virus have been isolated at Pavia but they were't yet subtyped.
