  • Greece: second fatality from H1N1 in Crete

Second dead from the H1N1 flu virus in about two weeks in Chania. The new victim of the virus, is a 46-year-old Chaniotis who was overweight as he suffered from obesity, cardiac and respiratory insufficiency. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit but after four days of hospitalization he ended up being infected with the influenza virus, which gave the 'noble' shot for the unfavorable development of the 46-year-old's health. His death is added to the list of people who have come down from H1N1 and is the second confirmed case, at Chania level, of lethal exposure to the virus. It is recalled that at midnight on January 26th, a 36-year-old Chaniotis arrived in the ICU after complications caused by the flu in his health.

Δεύτερος νεκρός από τον ιό της γρίπης H1N1 μέσα σε περίπου δυο εβδομάδες στα Χανιά.
