    The number of new cases in the Algarve rose by 9, from Saturday to Sunday. In total there have been 46,512 confirmed cases of infection and 1,660 deaths since the onset of the pandemic.

      There are already 1679 dead and 47,765 infected by covid-19 in Portugal, according to data released this Thursday in the epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS). Three more deaths and 339 cases in the last 24 hours, 274 of these (81%) are residing in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region.

                    Portugal could be added to ‘air bridge' list at the end of August but it may be 'too late'

                    PORTUGAL is yet to be added to the UK Government's "air bridge" list, despite new countries being added to the list on Friday. However, a Government source has revealed that the Portugal holidays could be back on the cards soon.
