(Influenza Seasons ILI rates for 1,000 inhabitants compared with current 2009-2010 Pandemic H1N1 Influenza outbreak trend.)

For the week 48/09, an overall ILI rate of 6.64 x 1,000 inhabitants has been calculated from sentinel family doctor network data analysis; the number of individuals with ILI-compatible clinical presentation can be calculated as: 6.64*60,000,000/1,000=398,400 new influenza-like cases; the cumulative rate from week 43/09 to week 48/09 is 57.28 x 1,000 (around 5% of entire population); the number of individuals with ILI fron week 43 to 48/09 can be calculated as: 57.28*60,000,000/1,000=3,436,800 Influenza compatible cases.
