(AFP / File - Bertrand Guay) A fast-food restaurant on the outskirts of Avignon was closed as a precaution Sunday after the suspicious death Saturday of a 14 year old boy who had dined the previous evening in the facility, it was learned from sources close to the investigation, confirming a report of the site of the Dauphine Libere.
The young man from Opp?de (Vaucluse), had dinner with his father on Friday evening in this restaurant chain Quick, located in the commercial Cap Sud, on the N7 on the outskirts of Avignon.
In the hours that followed, the boy and his father were taken from vomiting and severe headaches. The teenager died Saturday.
"It is too early to establish the reasons of death", it was clear from the same source, noting that the boy, poor health, "could have been the victim of a ruptured aneurysm associated with stress and convulsions that accompanied her vomiting.
An autopsy will be performed Monday to determine the causes of death and establish a possible link with the products consumed in fast food, it was further said.
The facility has been closed for an indefinite period. Samples have been made Sunday by investigators from the group gendarmerie d'Avignon, assisted the group health research section of Marseille, who made the inquiry.
