So far, a total of seven people in Liechtenstein have tested positive for the corona virus. Due to the developments in the neighboring countries, a sharp increase in the number of cases can also be expected in Liechtenstein in the next few days. The government is doing everything it can to slow down the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible, thereby preventing the health system from being overburdened. The existing measures are therefore tightened again and new measures taken.

VADUZ - So far, a total of 56 people living in Liechtenstein have tested positive for the corona virus. However, according to the government, tests have already been carried out on over 900. The government continues to do everything possible to slow the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible, thereby preventing the health system from being overloaded.

In Liechtenstein, more than 900 people have been tested on Covid-19 so far, the government said in a recent report. In relation to the number of inhabitants, more people were tested than in any other country in the world. According to the government, the relocation of the tests from the state hospital to the drive-through facility in the marketplace garage is the logical continuation of this strategy. The plant will start operating at 8 a.m. the next Monday.

Follow the measures even in good weather

So far, a total of 75 people living in Liechtenstein have tested positive. The government continues to do everything possible to slow the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible, thereby preventing the health system from being overburdened.
The current good weather pulls everyone outside. However, the existing measures remain in place. The government recommends everyone to stay at home. Unless you have to go to work, to the doctor or pharmacy, to buy groceries or to help someone. The government generally recommends that people over the age of 65 or with pre-existing conditions stay at home, except in the case of a doctor's visit. Exercise in the fresh air, for example a walk, is of course still possible and advisable. However, this should be done alone or with a person living in the same household and at a sufficient distance from other people. Crowds of people should be avoided and the minimum distance of 2 meters should be observed to avoid infection.
Based on the Swiss Epidemic Act applicable in Liechtenstein, the government, by ordinance of March 13, 2020, ordered a number of measures to be taken against the population, organizations and institutions to reduce the risk of transmission and to combat the corona virus and to protect particularly vulnerable people. Since then, the government has continuously informed about the essential contents of this ordinance, such as restrictions on assembly, childcare measures, company closings and hygiene measures. In the last few days and weeks, the arrangements made have been repeatedly adjusted in some points, taking into account developments in our neighboring countries and in particular the decisions of the Swiss Federal Council.

It cannot be determined with certainty how the person became infected. Due to the correct and professional reaction in the St. Laurentius house, the spread of further residents was prevented.

Coronavirus - Gradual easing of measures possible from the end of April

So far, 79 people living in Liechtenstein have tested positive for COVID-19. The government continues to do everything possible to slow the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible, thereby preventing the health system from being overburdened.

The measures the government has taken to combat the corona virus are having an effect. Once again during Easter, the government's recommendations must be strictly followed.

The government is intensely concerned with the question of when and at what time the measures can be relaxed again. The government will be guided by developments in Switzerland and Austria. In the week of April 20, the government will decide how to proceed and how the gradual easing of the measures can be implemented.
