RIGA, July 16 (LETA) - One new Covid-19 cases was confirmed in Latvia over the past 24 hours after testing 1,639 people, according to information released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
To date, a total of 175,696 Covid-19 tests have been carried out in Latvia and 1,179 people have tested positive. The virus has killed 31 people and 1,022 people have recovered from Covid-19.
According to the data of the National Health Service, no Covid-19 patients have been hospitalized in the past 24 hours. The three Covid-19 patients currently being treated in hospital have symptoms of moderate severity. Altogether, 185 patients have been discharged from hospitals, but this number includes both recoveries and fatalities.

1292 COVID-19 tests were performed in the last 24 hours, 3 new cases were registered. A total of 180,928 examinations were performed in Latvia, 1,192 persons became ill and 1,022 recovered, 31 died.

In Latvia, four new COVID-19 infection cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours to Wednesday. Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 31 Latvians have died from conditions related to the novel coronavirus and 1,197 have been infected.

In Latvia, three persons have been tested positive with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours to Friday, July 31. Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 32 Latvians have died from conditions related to the novel coronavirus and 1,231 people have been infected and 1,052 have recovered. A total of 198 508 tests on the novel coronavirus have been carried out in Latvia.

EU passport holders are allowed entry, including residents of Schengen countries, plus Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Romania, Switzerland, Ireland and the UK. Non-EU passport holders with EU permanent residence permits may enter Latvia.
