At a meeting of the Operational Headquarters on COVID-19, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerala Tugzhanov, operational issues in the country that needed to be addressed urgently were considered:

Also, the Operational Headquarters individually examined the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Atyrau, Mangistau, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda regions and in the city of Nur-Sultan.
In each of the regions, the Ministry of Health reported problematic issues and developed specific measures to improve the current situation.
The operational headquarters particularly noted the unsatisfactory sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Atyrau region due to the high increase in the incidence of COVID-19.
In this regard, E. Tugzhanov was instructed by the akimat of the Atyrau region to take comprehensive measures to improve the situation, including additional restrictive measures.
Also, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed by the regional akimats to ensure strict control over the observance of quarantine measures, to organize additional infectious hospitals as soon as possible, to purchase the necessary equipment (mechanical ventilation, CT, etc.), as well as to increase the power of PCR laboratories.

Some Chinese media outlets report that Kazakhstan has reported cases of unknown pneumonia, more deadly than coronavirus.
In response to these reports, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan officially declares that this information DOES NOT CONFORMITY.
It should be noted that WHO introduced codes for pneumonia into the International Classification of Diseases - ICD 10, when CVI is diagnosed clinically or epidemiologically, for example, the “frosted glass” symptom of the affected lungs, but is not laboratory-confirmed.
