At a meeting of the Operational Headquarters on COVID-19, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerala Tugzhanov, operational issues in the country that needed to be addressed urgently were considered:

- continued payment of allowances to medical personnel involved in the fight against coronavirus.
In each of the regions, the Ministry of Health reported problematic issues and developed specific measures to improve the current situation.
The operational headquarters particularly noted the unsatisfactory sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Atyrau region due to the high increase in the incidence of COVID-19.
In this regard, E. Tugzhanov was instructed by the akimat of the Atyrau region to take comprehensive measures to improve the situation, including additional restrictive measures.
Also, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed by the regional akimats to ensure strict control over the observance of quarantine measures, to organize additional infectious hospitals as soon as possible, to purchase the necessary equipment (mechanical ventilation, CT, etc.), as well as to increase the power of PCR laboratories.
“We will keep the situation in each region under the special control of the Operational Headquarters. We will continue to work on a daily basis with hearing and taking concrete operational measures both on a republican and regional scale, ”concluded E. Tugzhanov.
