Two Kazakh citizens have tested positive for coronavirus after returning from Germany, Healthcare Minister Yelzhan Birtanov said on Friday, the first cases of the disease in the Central Asian country.
The patients are staying in a specialized hospital in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s biggest city, he told a briefing.

Seven more COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Nur-Sultan, bringing the overall cases to 44 in Kazakhstan with 19 in Almaty and 25 in Nur-Sultan. In addition, two Kazakh nationals are currently treated abroad, one in Germany and the other in Hungary.

Kazakhstan reports more coronavirus cases in Nur-Sultan

New coronavirus case has been confirmed in Nur-Sultan city, the Kazakhstan’s capital, Trend reports with reference to the country’s Ministry of Health.
Thus, the overall number of coronavirus cases in Kazakhstan has reached 62 people, including 32 cases in Nur-Sultan, 26 cases in Almaty city, two cases in Karaganda city, one case in Almaty region and one case in Aktobe region...
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Kazakhstan amounted to 109, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan's Ministry of Healthcare.
The ministry's data said that over the period from 00:00 to 15:00 (GMT +4) on Mar. 26, a total of 29 coronavirus cases has been confirmed in Kazakhstan, including 20 cases in Nur-Sultan and 9 in Almaty.

Kazakhstan has registered the most infections thus far, with some 380 as of April 1, with three people succumbing to COVID-19. Uzbekistan -- Central Asia's most populous country with some 32 million people, follows with 173 coronavirus cases and two deaths. Kyrgyzstan has registered 111 infections and no deaths as of April 1.
