    EPIDEMIOLOGICAL COMMENTS
In accordance with the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, Article 10.4.1, point 8, this event does not change the disease free status of Sweden as these are wild birds, and therefore do not fall within the OIE definition of poultry. This outbreak was reported in due time as H5 and is included in the relevant event evt_3610; however, following further analysis, it has been now characterized as H5N1. Due to an OIE-WAHIS technical issue, its removal from the H5 event (evt_3610) has to be delayed.
