A dangerous zone is the territory of a radius of 5 km in the village of Repair in the east of the Rostov region.

The bird flu virus was detected in dead hens thrown to the dump near the district repair center.

In October 2017, a similar case was registered near the village Chertkovskaya Morozovskogo area, which was recognized as an epizootic focus.

The Don region had already faced a dangerous epizootic. At the end of last year, avian flu was registered at the enterprises of the company "Eurodon", where they were forced to destroy 160 thousand turkeys. Losses were then estimated at 1 billion rubles.
