Avian flu in Portugal: the slaughter of more than 200 thousand birds can lead to a drop in production

In the 20 outbreaks registered so far, 99.8% of the affected birds are commercial production. In addition to the damage inherent to the slaughter, the farms are inactive for 30 days after disinfection. If the trend continues, there may be a drop in domestic production.
