Prato, February 21, 2022 - There is another pandemic alarm. This time it is the avian flu epidemic that is spreading rapidly within industrial and non-industrial farms. An alarm that, fortunately, seems to concern only chickens, birds and turkeys and not humans, but which worries breeders not a little because of the effects that the bird virus could have on farms, even family-run ones.
The epidemic, which started from the large farms located in the north-east of Italy, arrived in our territory, affecting two farms: one in Bagnolo di Sopra in Montemurlo, the other in the municipality of Vernio. The discovery was made last week, three days apart from each other.
