- The positivity regards a commercial layer hens farm located in the protection zone established around the 2nd outbreak in Mordano Municipality.

- The positivity regards a backyard flock of free-range hens.
- During last week of August, five hens died and one of them on 1 September was delivered to the Laboratory and resulted positive to avian influenza type A/H7 at PCR.

- The National Reference Laboratory in Padova has confirmed H7 at RT-PCR.
- The farm in Mordano is already located in the restriction zones and depopulation will be carried out.
- Restriction zones have been established around the flock in Bondeno, a protection zone of 3 km and a surveillance zone of 10 km, the hens have been culled and the epidemiological investigation is on going.
