Ats Metropolitan City of Milan has identified an outbreak of avian influenza in a wildlife-hunting farm in Zelo Buon Persico. Today the 'outbreak extinction activities' begin, with the culling of over 5 thousand birds kept on the estate. Yesterday, the ordinance establishing the Protection and Surveillance zones within a radius of 3 kilometers and 10 kilometers respectively was also issued. In addition to swine fever, the area is now also dealing with avian flu, which however is an old acquaintance in the Lodi area, as there have already been some outbreaks in the past. Approximately 5,300 birds of the pheasant, partridge, gray partridge and mallard species are affected.
