Given the positivity for H5N1 HPAI, communicated last November 21st by the Reference Center for Avian Influenza, detected in a family farm in the municipal area of Fiumicello Villa Vicentina, the foreseen Protection Zones have been established (up to 3 kilometers from the outbreak ) and Surveillance Area (10 kilometers from the outbreak), also imposing a conditional block on the movement of animals from farms within the municipal territory.
Random checks will be carried out on all farms and the owners will be asked if they have noticed any anomalous behavior in the animals. In the event of further positivity, all animals will be slaughtered. All rural family farms will have to fully comply with biosecurity regulations.
