Lowering the risk level to “negligible”
Faced with the improvement in the national health situation with regard to avian influenza, Marc Fesneau, Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, decided to lower the level of risk on the national territory to "negligible", from June 8, 2022. Specified by an order published in the Official Journal, this new step makes it possible to lift the restrictions in force on the vast majority of the territory.
With the lowering of the risk level to "negligible" , the poultry will return to the open air, except in the remaining restricted areas. Only these regulated areas, within which control measures are still being implemented, remain concerned by reinforced health measures.
The risk level had already been lowered to the "moderate" level on May 10 in part of the territory.
