    A hobby herd at Skaverup northwest of Vordingborg is affected by bird flu. On Saturday, the animals will be killed.

    Once again, bird flu has been found in a poultry herd.

    This time it is a hobby herd at Skaverup northwest of Vordingborg is affected by bird flu.

    This is the fifth time in two months that chicken and duck herds have been affected by bird flu. Three times there have been outbreaks on private hobby teams ...

    ... This is a herd of 30 chickens, ten ducks and two geese. The owner summoned the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration when several of the animals died.

    Blood tests from the birds show that the herd is infected with the contagious and very deadly bird flu H5N1.

    On Saturday 1 January, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration will kill the remaining animals to stop further spread of the disease ...
